This is a beautiful selection of a Vintage Elkhorn Coral. It gets its name from the unique shape of the coral branches. Elkhorn coral is sometimes also known as a smooth cauliflower coral or hood coral. This coral is called a hood coral because it commonly grows in a conical or hooded shape
